We all know by now that I’m obsessed with Charlotte Tilbury. I use her Light Wonder Foundation every day (Fair 1 is currently sold out everywhere), and raved on about how amazing her Matte Revolution lipsticks are. I always have absolute faith in her products and her Luxury Palette Colour Coded Eyeshadows in The Golden Goddess is no exception! This palette has summer written all over it (yes I know it snowed yesterday – c’mon England it’s bloody April), I adore all four different shades of goldy browns. The best thing about this palette aside from the beautiful colours is that it’s so compact and lightweight. It fits in my smaller makeup bag that I take to uni with me which is a total bonus, it beats having to try and cram my Naked Palette into it! The ‘Prime’ shade is a gorgeous light yellow toned gold, which I have to be honest,… View Post

Matte lipsticks are having a bit of a moment recently. MAC have recently brought out their Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour lipsticks and Kylie’s Matte Lip Kits are sold out everywhere. However, for those of you who don’t want to spend crazy amounts on shipping or aren’t totally sold on the whole liquid lipstick thing, I’ve found the perfect alternative. I adore pinky/brown colours (see my recent blog post on my favourite pinks) and this MAC lipstick in Twig is the most gorgeous brown pinky matte. Although it says that it has a satin finish, in reality it dries with a beautiful matte finish. I paired this lip colour with an easy deep golden smokey eye, I’ve been wearing this look non-stop this month! Base To get a really flawless base I used Charlotte Tilbury’s Light Wonder Foundation all over my face and buffed it in well. As per I then… View Post

I’ll be the first to admit that my obsession with pink lipsticks has only happened very recently. They’ve always been a bit intimidating for fear of ending up with bright, Barbie pink lips (my love of anything Barbie ended age 8). Anyone who knows me will vouch that I am a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury, and surprise surprise, it was one of her lipsticks that sparked my interest. Since that fateful day my student loan has taken a small hit, but I’m here to give you the low down on why it was so worth it. THE LEAST PINK, PINK – No7 Match Made Moisture Drench Lipstick in Ginger Rose – £9.95 – For anyone who’s still a little bit intimidated by the whole pink thing, this lipstick will ease you in gently. This No7 lipstick is a gorgeous browny pink, it’s like a slightly updated 90’s brown. It’s seriously pigmented but as the name suggests, still… View Post

With the consistently miserable weather we’ve been having, it can be easy to sink into a makeup slump. When it’s rainy, it makes me even less inclined to get out of my warm bed and get on with the day. My makeup usually reflects my mood, so if it’s murky outside, I tend to go for a much stronger makeup look to match! The other day, however, I was inspired to do a fresh faced makeup look to combat this wet and windy weather. It’s easy to do, and lasted me all day on my wet and windy campus (the true test for makeup). Here’s how I did it! Base Start with applying a light base. I am in love with Charlotte Tilbury’s Light Wonder Foundation – it’s buildable, but it still gives a wonderful natural finish. I use the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge to blend this all in.… View Post
