Budapest: The Tea Dress

So, it’s been a while! I had my finals at uni and after they finished I’ve been taking a little time off, but so happy to be back blogging. I recently took a trip to Budapest for a week with my boyfriend and had the best time and this is the first post in a series all about my time there.

This outfit is such a beaut – I fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw it in River Island, it’s such a lovely pattern and the cut of it is so so flattering. My favourite colour is green, but the splashes of yellow running through it are a completely new thing for me, I mean ginger and yellow? Surely not. But somehow this dress works for me, it was so great for Budapest as when we went it was super humid and this dress kept me very cool. I paired it with these little silver metallic trainers which I picked up in H&M for only £15! They were so comfortable for walking round the city in (and we did a lot of walking), I’m loving the metallic trend at the moment. They also dress the outfit down which makes it perfect for daytime exploring. My backpack is a great find from TK Maxx, it’s by a brand called Nica; I wanted a practical yet fashionable one and wasn’t blown away by what I found in places like Topshop, this one is just perfect. The best thing about it is that it’s not that big, so it means you don’t end up overpacking and carrying a ridiculously heavy bag around all day. I accessorised really simply and wore my beloved little silver arrow midi ring. It’s such a cute piece from a lovely independent seller online, definitely take a look as all of her stuff is just dreamy. Also, side note, I’ve been loving putting my hair up into space buns at the moment. It was great as it kept me cool during hot Budapest days!
